What is the maximum capacity?

We host weddings and private events for up to 200 guests. The barn accommodates up to 120 guests for seated events and 200 for standing receptions. Both the Tent and the Garden can seat up to 200 guests, offering versatile options for your celebration.

Am I required to hire a professional planner?

Yes, all couples hosting wedding events at Tar Creek Ranch are required to hire an event planner. You have the flexibility to choose between a Day-of, Month-of, or Full-Service Planner to best meet your needs. Please note that the event planner should not be affiliated with the wedding party or be a guest at the event, and must provide their own Liability Insurance. We highly recommend a Month-of, Partial, or Full-Service Planner to help ensure a seamless and stress-free experience leading up to and on your big day.

If you have a specific event planner in mind who isn’t on our Preferred Vendor list, they’re still welcome! However, they will need to undergo vetting and approval by our Venue Management team before being contracted. This helps ensure all planners meet our standards for professionalism and expertise.

What is your outside vendor policy?

To ensure a seamless and stress-free experience, we prefer working with vendors from our Preferred Vendor list. These trusted partners are known for their exceptional service and have consistently delivered 5-star experiences at events on our ranch. However, we’re always open to new vendors! Any outside vendors not on our Preferred Vendor list must be approved by us before contracts are finalized to ensure they meet our standards for quality and professionalism. We reserve the right to not work with vendors that do not meet our standards.

Can We Supply OUr Own Alcohol?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own alcohol for your event. However, for everyone's safety and to ensure everything runs smoothly, all alcohol must be served by a professional bartending service. This guarantees responsible serving practices and a stress-free experience for you and your guests. Check out our Preferred Vendor list for some of our favorite bartending companies!

What is required to reserve our wedding date?

A $2000 security deposit is required upon contract signing to secure your wedding date. The first payment of 50% is due 120 days before your wedding, followed by a second payment of 25% due 60 days before the wedding. The final balance is due 7 days prior to your wedding.

Do you have onsite parking?

Certainly! The Ranch provides ample parking for up to 90 cars, including two designated handicap spaces for accessibility. However, for larger weddings and the safety and convenience of all guests, we highly recommend considering shuttle transportation options.

What is the Rental Duration for weddings at your venue?

The rental duration for weddings at our venue includes full access from 12 pm the day before your event until 11:30 pm that evening. On the day of your event, the ranch is fully accessible from 7 am until 11:30 pm for vendors and clean-up. Guests are kindly asked to depart by 10:30 pm, with music ending at 10 pm. For additional post-event cleanup time, the property will be available from 7 am until 11 am the following morning.

For couples who have selected the Homestead Package, you’ll have access to the Ranch House from 12 pm the day before your event until 11 am on the Monday after your celebration. We’re happy to work with you to customize your 3-night stay at the Ranch House to fit your arrival schedule with advance notice.
